Construction/Restoration Labourer
National Franchise Property Restoration Company is expanding and looking for energetic and self-motivated employees to join our team.
WINMAR® provides emergency and reconstruction services to homes, businesses, industrial and institutional properties after they have been damaged by fire, water, sewage, mould, asbestos, vehicle impacts, etc.
General Labourers at WINMAR® spend their days at various jobsites assisting skilled tradespersons by completing various construction/demolition/remediation tasks with the goal of restoring our customers property
The ideal Construction Labourer will represent our company well, have good time management skills, be detail oriented and want to be part of a growing team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform basic construction, tear down, cleaning tasks, use of hand and power tools
- Clean and pile salvaged materials
- Load, unload and transport materials
- Perform the work required as deemed necessary by the job supervisor.
- Work in compliance with Staff Policies and Health and Safety Policies.
Terms Of Employment
Permanent, Full Time, Days, On Call Rotation, Overtime, Evening and Weekends as needed
The Ideal Candidate:
- Takes pride in being on-time and in a job well done
- Has 6 months to a year of construction experience
- Communicates well in English - written, verbal and reading
- Has a positive attitude and works well with a team
- Has a safety mindset
- Has a valid driver’s license
- Has a clean criminal record
- First Aid certification is required
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job this individual must have a full range of body movement including walking, standing, sitting, lifting floor to waist, lifting waist to shoulder, stair climbing, ladder climbing and bending or twisting. There may be times when this individual will be operating motorized equipment and power tools.
Of Note
Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement.

Compensation
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
